With over 20 years of experience caring for hedgehogs, I’m dedicated to providing trusted guidance, heartfelt stories, and educational resources to support hedgehog lovers everywhere.Today, our home is brightened by Amore and Peanut, two joyful hedgies whose unique personalities keep us smiling every day. They are living reminders of why I fell in love with hedgehogs in the first place — curious, quirky, and full of heart.
Our mission
At Setareh Hedgehogs, our mission is simple: to help people understand that hedgehogs are so much more than cute, prickly pets. They are intelligent, sensitive companions who deserve thoughtful care, patience, and love. Through education, storytelling, and hands-on experience, I want new and seasoned owners alike to learn how to provide safe, healthy environments that meet their unique needs, why nutrition, enrichment, and gentle handling are key to building trust and that every hedgehog has a personality worth celebrating.
Our expertise
What sets Setareh Hedgehogs apart is a blend of decades of hands-on experience and a genuine passion for these remarkable little companions. I’ve raised, cared for, and loved hedgehogs for more than two decades, giving me deep insight into their needs, behaviors, and quirks. As a Veterinary Client Care Coordinator in a Specialty & Emergency Clinic (with exotic specialists), I have daily exposure to the latest standards of care for small and exotic animals.
Our community
Setareh Hedgehogs isn’t just about caring for hedgies at home — it’s also about building connection. Living in Sunset, Utah, I love sharing my passion for hedgehogs with neighbors, local pet lovers, and fellow exotic pet owners. From conversations at the clinic where I work to educational chats with curious families, I’ve found that people light up when they meet Amore or Peanut and learn just how unique hedgehogs truly are.
